in a long-term research project, the visone project team is developing models and algorithms to integrate and advance the analysis and visualization of social networks.

part of visone is the design and implementation of a software tool intended for research and teaching in social network analysis. it is specifically designed to allow experts and novices alike to apply innovative and advanced visual methods with ease and accuracy.

April 22, 2008: visone 2.3.4 is available. This release corrects an error in the algorithm for strongly connected components and addes all image export formats (EPS, EMF, and SWF) which were missing in the Web Start version (list of changes).

January 25, 2008: visone 2.3.0 is available. In the last year we released mainly error-correcting versions of visone and spend much time improving the source code for a new major release. visone 2.3.0 is the result of this effort. This release is more stable and consistant than versions 2.2.x and will be the base to add new features in the next weeks and months. Please see the list of changes for more details.
